Dr. Jon Mendelsohn, Medical Director of Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center in Cincinnati Has Made Some Predictions Regarding The Top Plastic Surgery Trends For 2015

Mendelsohn feels that many patients will “piggyback” by adding a cosmetic nip and tuck during “functional”  plastic surgeries.  Says Mendelsohn, “In other words, a patient may be having a Rhinoplasty to repair a deviated septum, but may decide to fix a distracting bump during the same procedure to “double up” on their benefits and cut their recovery time in half.  Another example might be a patient who comes to our office seeking migraine relief via Botox who also receives the added aesthetic benefit of relaxed wrinkles in the forehead.”

“Another trend which will continue to rise in popularity,” says Mendelsohn, is “stacking” procedures. Patients realize that many facial treatments are enhanced by concurrent treatments.  For example, the number or patients using Botox in conjunction with facial fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane will continue to rise, as this technique more accurately targets tissues, making the results last longer.”

“A newer filler which will continue to rise in popularity is Juvederm Voluma XC, as it

Additionally, “Seniors will continue to make up an increasingly larger percentage of plastic surgery patients each year.  The over 70 demographic want to look as young as they feel, as they live an increasingly fulfilling and active life.”

Mendelsohn says, “The eyes have always been the “window to the soul,” and the main focal point of our faces.  We want to look our best as we express our emotions and communicate with others, and huge advances in Blepharoplasty make this easier than ever.  The popularity of both upper and lower eyelid lifts will continue to soar in 2015.”
