Now Using Non-Surgical Kybella For Treatment Of Double Chins
CINCINNATI, OH – November 18, 2015 — Dr. Jon Mendelsohn is one of the first physicians in the tri-state to begin using the new FDA approved Kybella (deoxycholic acid) injection for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe submental (below the chin) fat in adults.
Says Mendelsohn, “Kybella is identical to the deoxycholic acid that is produced in the body in order to help it absorb fats. Kybella is a cytolytic drug, which when injected into tissue physically destroys the cell membrane. It is administered as an injection directly into the fat tissue in the submental area directly below the chin. Patients receive multiple injections in a single treatment, and usually require a total of two treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart.”
The cost for Kybella is approximately $1200-$1500 per treatment, depending on how many injections are required.
