CINCINNATI, OH – September 25, 2018 – Hope Merz, DNP, FNP-C has recently joined Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center as the newest member of their new “Studio A” Cosmetic team.
Merz began her nursing career as a registered nurse at Shriner’s Hospital in 2007, after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While caring for acute and rehabilitative burn patients at Shriner’s, Merz discovered her passion for skin health.
Merz then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing, along with her State Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2011, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctorate degree in nursing in April, 2018.
She comes to Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center from a private dermatology practice, where she treated patients for medical- related dermatological needs, and also performed the latest cutting edge treatments in aesthetic care and facial rejuvenation – using injectable fillers, Botox, lasers, platelet-rich-plasma and micro needling.
Says Dr. Jon Mendelsohn, medical director of Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, “Hope will be a tremendous asset to our team as we continue to grow the “Studio A” cosmetic division of our practice. Her extensive training, education and experience will allow her to provide a wide range of dermatological and cosmetic treatments to our patients, and provide a wider array of services and treatments than ever before.”

A native of Cincinnati, Merz grew up in the Hyde Park. She and her husband now live in Anderson Township with their Goldendoodle Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, hiking, swimming, tennis, skiing and taking local art classes. Her father is an Orthopedic Surgeon and her mother recently retired after over 20 years as an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at the University of Cincinnati.
