It is here!

StudioA is happy to introduce Microneedling with PRP Injections (known as the vampire facelift – a term developed by Dr Runels) and we are seeking a model to be filmed and featured on a health segment.  Our treatment is more similar to the use of Selphyl and Dr. Mendelsohn has used these techniques since 1999.

This technique uses your own blood-derived growth factors to build collegen and rejuvenate your face.   No downtime, non-surgical, no allergic reactions with GREAT RESULTS!

If you would like to be considered for this treatment, please fill out the attached form.

JULIE’S NEWS RELEASE:

Microneedling With Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections

Now Available At

Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center “Studio A”

Cincinnati, OH – September 20, 2018  – Hope Merz, DNP, FNP-C, the newest addition to Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center’s “Studio A” team is now performing this new collagen stimulating procedure using PRP injections on patients. Hope comes to Advanced from a local dermatological practice, where she has perfected this technique over the years.

Wendy Flynn, long-time Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center aesthetician will also continue to perform microneedling treatments accompanied by the use of topical PRP. Patients now have a choice as to which technique they prefer, depending on their specific skin concerns. The topical application covers the broader plane of the face, while the injections are used to target specific isolated “problem areas.”

Says Merz, “The first step of this collagen inducing treatment involves the use of a handheld device or pen with microneedles that we use to penetrate the skin.  We then inject the patient’s Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) back into the skin by injection to initiate a localized stem cell response. When PRP is placed back into the skin by injection, it initiates a localized stem cell response. Over the weeks and months following treatment, this stem cell response recruits collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts. These fibroblasts replace tissue that has been damaged or lost through the aging process with healthy skin that looks refreshed and rejuvenated.”

Microneedling combined with PRP injections has been used to effectively treat fine lines and wrinkles, deep facial folds, Crow’s feet and dark under eye circles, enlarged pores, mild collagen and volume loss, uneven skin tones, acne scarring, Rosacea and poor skin elasticity.

This complete 2-step procedure takes approximately 90-minutes, and can be performed on any type of skin or ethnicity.  Three treatments, spaced approximately 6 weeks apart are recommended, with quarterly maintenance treatments thereafter. There is little to no downtime other than some facial redness and tenderness comparable to a sunburn during the first 24-48 hours.

Mild bruising may also be experienced.

Merz concludes, “The end result is an overall softer, brighter, more youthful complexion, with most patients noticing an immediate improvement in active acne, skin texture and color.”
