SELF, STAFF AND PATIENTS
Moves Towards Paper-Free Office
Cincinnati, Ohio — June 3, 2010 — Dr. Jon E. Mendelsohn, medical director of Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, is headed towards a paper-free office. Mendelsohn has made several major patient-friendly changes to his website, has added a mobile website, (accessible to patients from both mobile devices and desktop computers), and has also integrated the use of iPads throughout the office. Says Mendelsohn, “Streamlining and integrating our systems using internet-based technology translates into less time spent wading through charts and paper, and more time spent with my patients. It also means that we are doing our part to become a “greener” office.”
Says Mendelsohn, “As soon as Mac announced the launch of the iPad, my wheels started turning about how it could become a useful office tool which could save my patients, my staff and me a good deal of time, and also help cut down on the use of traditional files and paper. We are headed towards a paper-free office, and ultimately hope to do our part to help save our planet.”
“We have just purchased several iPad’s for the office which will be used by new patients as a quick and easy to fill out their initial forms and questionnaires while sitting in our office. They will also be used by our staff as a teaching tool to walk patients through the various procedures and show them actual patient photos, and videos, if desired.
Pre-op and post-op instructions will also be accessible to our patients, making it easier for them to plan ahead and know what to expect for their medical procedures.
