In June, Dr. Mendelsohn and his family is are traveling to Africa to meet the children living in an orphanage in Tanzania owned and lovingly operated for the last 10 years by Connie Naber and her charitable organization-Karama Connection. Connie adopted these 12 children, 10 of whom are HIV+. He will be performing a small procedure on one of the children, assisting with their health needs, and educating the children and the house staff on day to day basic health as part of his mission. He is so excited about this adventure! It’s become a passion of Dr. Mendelsohn’s and we hope to raise awareness of this organization on a larger scale.
