Nearly two decades later as a cancer survivor, she decided there were some things she wanted to do. “I always felt like I looked tired.”
So she decided to have a procedure referred to as a natural lift.
Doctor Mendelsohn says the secret to the natural look is in a layer just under your skin called the SMAS. “The submusculo aponeurotic system, like a boneless chicken breast that layer of fiber before the meat, the layer has begun to descend.”
Dr. Mendelsohn simply makes a tiny incision by her ear and lifts the SMAS. “So, as we are tightening the SMAS, the skin will lift , we get rid of the extra skin and suture it.”
What makes people look unnatural he says, is just pulled skin without the SMAS.
In addition he will lift her eyelids, and put a tiny implant in her chin.
Weeks later Greenwell says “I just feel like so fresh and new, and so ready to start this whole new phase of my life.”
Her total procedure cost what most facelifts do, about 10 to 15 thousand dollars.
