For Torn Or Ripped Earlobes, Lobuloplasty is the Best Treatment!
What Do I Do For a Ripped or Torn Piercing?
Years of wear with heavy dangling, pierced earrings can take their toll on the earlobes, causing both stretching and tearing, leading to long unsightly earlobes.
Over time, partial and complete tears to the earlobes can come from an injury such as having an earring catch on your clothes or a young child pulling on that sparkly piece of jewelry. The best way to fix a torn ear lobe is to do something called a lobuloplasty procedure.
A lobuloplasty can be performed on one ear lobe or on both. The area will be numbed with an injectable form of lidocaine with epinephrine. The llidocaine numbing works immediately, so all you will feel is one small injection and then that’s it, your earlobes will be numb throughout the rest of the procedure. The deformed portion of the ear lobe is then removed and sutures are precisely placed to give you the best possible result and restore your beautiful earlobes.
