Health care providers are using a new combo treatment to help rejuvenate aging skin.
Medical reporter Liz Bonis explains how it works.
Hey everybody! If you’re struggling as the weather changes to maybe shred some of the summer sun damage on your skin and you want to get back your glow, a new treatment that offers a powerful pairing might help. The team at the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center, is showing us just how it works. They’re using what’s called Microneedling as the first step in this procedure.
With Microneedling, we want to create micro channels, also known as micro injuries to the skin, so that we are creating a cascade of healing. Our skin will automatically with these little tiny injuries, start stimulating collagen production, elastin production. It will start to heal mutated cells within our skin from brown spots. Precancers, aging, it’s good for everything.
Once that Microneedling is complete, they use exosomes on top of the skin. Here’s a bit more about this stem cell part of the treatment.
So a stem cell contains a lot of different material. And one of those things is an endosome. And the endosome is smart. It knows where to go to find an injury and heal it. When it goes to that injury. It’s then called an exosome. And that’s what we’re using now.
This procedure starts at about $300, takes about 20 minutes.

You may need more than one of these microneedling sessions with exosomes to get that full glow, and in most cases, it’s not covered by your medical insurance plan.
