CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Multiple shipments of counterfeit Botox injections were intercepted Thursday at a Cincinnati consignment facility, U.S. Custsms and Border Patrol Officers say.
The shipments were made to look like shipments of leggings and a ‘facial gift’ sent from Shenzhen, China.
Officials say the shipment was destined for homes in Alabama, Texas and Utah.
As for the Botox packaging, a facial plastic surgeon in Cincinnati told FOX19 NOW they’re a ringer for the real thing.
“My first inclination is, you know, wow,” John Mendelsohn, MD, of the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center said when showed images of counterfeit products.
